How long have you been in business?
Custom Design Photography opened it's doors in 1991 but has been operated under a previous name all the way back to 1984.
What is your primary product or service?
People photography and any of the related services (Ie: Printing, Photo Adjustments & Restorations, Sports, Concert, Live Action, Portraiture, Modelling, Wedding Services, etc..)
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Photography is more than a business.. it's a passion. The End-Result of quality work cannot be under-estimated... the ART of photography means nothing if the "science" (equipment adjustments, etc..) of photography cannot be controlled or worked-with -- we believe that the science is the initial variable and once that has been 'tamed' the ART-of-the-Vision can come shining thru.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
we are not geared towards "profits first" we are geared towards creative-design and capturing moments in their "one image tells the story" kind of style. Sure, more than one image can be necessary to tell the full-story... but, the images that catch your attention and cause you to pause... and... think -- those are the images that we care to capture and/or create.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
we are primarily an on-location business... so, as for our location.. it's wherever the images and moments-of-life are happening.
What type of payments do you accept?
it's been said "CASH IS KING" and although checks or electronic payments are the standard for today... CASH is always the best. We would rather work with you on your needs and budget-restrictions than to have you lose-out on our quality and workmanship... so, inquire and let us work-with-you and your needs.
Which areas do you service?
we do 90 percent of our primary business within a 2-hour drive of the Greater Rochester Area... but, that doesn't mean we don't do the 'destination' events -- we consider all photographic opportunities as 'applicable' for our business and to offset the costs of travel/lodging/etc... we will try to co-ordinate multiple shoots so as to reduce the overall fee to a client.
